At Incite Strategic Partners, we believe in the power of diverse voices and perspectives. In honor of International Women’s Day, we’re celebrating the women who are helping shape our company’s culture, define our mission, and move us forward every single day. Their stories are a testament to resilience, collaboration, and the importance of carving out your own path in the workplace, and in life. We asked a few team members to share their journeys, inspirations, and advice for other women. Here’s a glimpse of what they had to say.

Amy – Senior Director of Member Success

On what motivates or inspires her most in her role at Incite

“What motivates and inspires me most in my role at Incite is the opportunity to support and serve our members. I’m motivated by the progress our members make and the difference we can help them achieve through the resources and partnerships we provide. Their success stories, growth, and the trust they place in us to support their goals drive me to continually improve and find new ways to help them thrive. It’s incredibly fulfilling to know that our work directly impacts their success and contributes to their journey.”

Her advice for other women looking to excel

“Don’t be afraid to ask. Often, women tend to second-guess themselves or hold back from asking for what they need, whether it’s a promotion, resources, or support. But the reality is, asking isn’t a sign of weakness—it’s a sign of confidence and clarity. So much of career progression comes down to having the courage to speak up, whether it’s seeking opportunities or advocating for your value. If you don’t ask, you may not get the chance to show what you’re capable of, and the right people may not even realize what you’re ready for. The world won’t always hand you what you deserve—you have to be willing to go after it. The more you advocate for yourself, the more doors will open.”

On staying focused when faced with obstacles or competing priorities

“When faced with obstacles or competing priorities, I stay focused by always keeping the larger vision and mission in mind. It’s easy to get caught up in the day-to-day challenges and distractions, but remembering the bigger picture helps me stay grounded and motivated. For me, understanding the impact of my work—how it serves both the team and the members we support—keeps me focused on what’s truly important. When priorities clash or roadblocks arise, I take a step back and remind myself why we’re doing this in the first place. Reconnecting with the mission helps me prioritize effectively, maintain perspective, and push through the challenges, knowing that every hurdle is a step toward fulfilling our purpose and making a meaningful impact.”

Paula – SVP of Business Partner Development

On what inspires her most at Incite:
“I am almost awe-struck by the wonderful people who have joined Incite over the past five years and truly believed in our mission. We started with only four of us, and now we’re a team of 25—likely to be 30 by the end of 2025. As we grow, we’re intentional about our culture, making sure each new addition not only has the right skills but is also a great fit for our close-knit team. Seeing everyone come together, ready to make a difference for our members, their residents, our business partners, and our teammates, inspires me every single day.”

Her advice for other women looking to excel:
“My advice is to be yourself and never see being a woman as either an attribute or a detriment. Instead, decide what’s most important to you—whether that’s balancing family, learning a new skill, or even changing careers—and go for it. Success should be defined by your own metrics, not someone else’s. And don’t be afraid to make mistakes. Mistakes are the best opportunities to learn, grow, and get better.”

On staying focused with competing priorities:
“You have to prioritize what’s most important. Our leadership team is focusing on what Stephen Covey describes as ‘Quadrant 2’—the important but less urgent tasks. That means more vision, more planning, better outcomes. It takes discipline, especially for someone like me who loves checking things off a list, but having a framework like ‘stay in Quadrant 2’ helps me keep my priorities straight.”

Jen – Director of Partner Education

On what drives her passion at Incite:
“My role gives me the chance to connect with senior living professionals who are improving their communities with new ideas, up-to-date training, and innovative tools. I love having these conversations and collaborating to develop something new that supports their teams and, ultimately, improves resident care.”

With a background in dietetics—a majority-female STEM field—Jen has built a strong network of colleagues, mentors, and friends. She attributes much of her success to these relationships and values the support they continually offer.

Advice to those starting their careers:
“Find other women who can support you, and who you can support in return. Look for like-minded professionals both in your own field and in others. I’ve found that collaborations across different industries often lead to the most creative and fruitful work.”

Sara – Senior Director of Operations

On what motivates or inspires her most in her role at Incite

“I’m inspired by knowing that the work I do ultimately helps improve the quality of life for seniors. Through our core GPO offering, we support our members in creating more efficient and higher-quality operations for the residents in their care. Our partnership with the American Health Care Association also allows us to contribute back to the senior living space in a meaningful way, supporting the industry on a larger scale. It’s rewarding to know that my ‘behind the scenes’ efforts play a role in making senior living communities better and more efficient.”

One piece of advice for other women looking to excel

“Slow down and take the time to listen and absorb—I have learned a lot from sitting in meetings and listening to conversations that I initially felt that I had no reason to be included in. Those moments of observation may not seem significant at first, but they often surface later in your career and become vital to building a strong foundation. Take time to develop your expertise and confidence in your voice. The more you embrace learning, adaptability, and authenticity, the greater the impact you’ll have.”

How she stays focused with competing priorities

“I wish I had a more sophisticated answer for this, but I usually start with a good old-fashioned checklist. Once I see everything laid out, I can tackle the ‘quick wins’ and then make a plan for working through larger projects. If needed, I’ll follow up with clarifying questions to key stakeholders before moving forward. In Operations, my priorities often depend on cross-departmental collaboration, so once I can clearly communicate my needs to others, we can work more efficiently and reach a resolution faster.”

Maria – Chief Marketing Officer (CMO)

On what drives her passion at Incite:
“At Incite, we’re delivering solutions that truly impact people’s quality of life. As CMO, I get to shape how we tell that story – translating our purpose, vision, and commitment into messages that resonate and inspire. Whether it’s crafting a brand campaign or connecting with our partners, I’m always motivated by the knowledge that our work can make a meaningful difference for senior living professionals and the residents they serve.”

Advice for other women in marketing or leadership roles:
“First, don’t be afraid to ask questions or challenge the status quo. Marketing is about innovation and connection, which often requires new ways of thinking.  Embrace collaboration by building genuine relationships, sharing ideas, and learning from others’ experiences. Leadership isn’t a solo endeavor; it flourishes when we foster open communication and stand by one another’s strengths. Above all, give yourself permission to take calculated risks and even fail forward—the lessons learned along the way often lead to the greatest successes.”

As we celebrate International Women’s Day, Incite female leaders’ words remind us that success comes in many forms – through collaboration, perseverance, and defining your own path. Happy International Women’s Day from all of us at Incite Strategic Partners!
